Skip Steele had this artwork commissioned in 1973 in celebration of his first "Gig" of baby, gold buds from Santa Marta, Colombia. He is the guy riding on the mule. In the piece of art it shows Skip and his partners with guns, but in reality they never carried guns, nor had any use for them, even throughout their time in South America. That first gig of over 6,000 pounds of perfect Santa Marta Gold Bud was a remarkable load which helped to jump-start Skip's career into the world of Marijuana Smuggling. On the shirt you can recognize some of the tell tale signs of the smuggling days. The shrimp boat just off shore awaits a fresh load while the trail is covered in beautiful Ganja. Also, just off the beach are perfect little left barrels, especially temping for all the goofy foots out there.
